Policies, Fees and Insurance
Set fees are below, but my services are sliding scale based upon income and each patient’s individual circumstances.
Mental health services should be accessible to everyone, no exceptions. I reject the capitalistic model that does not take into account the individual needs of the person.
My areas of expertise include populations that are marginalized, with few treatment providers in the area with the knowledge to adequately provide treatment. I work with patients to establish a feasible financial arrangement that is not an additional burden.
Income based sliding scale begins with the poverty level and caps off at 400% above the poverty level. The fees for services are based on income, along with any special considerations you may have.

Insurance Coverage:
I am an out of network provider and my services are eligible for reimbursement from health insurance companies. You can determine whether you have out of network benefits by contacting your insurance company directly to ask if they reimburse for out of network mental health services. I will provide you with a receipt of your visit, with appropriate diagnostic codes and IDs so that you can be reimbursed directly for any out of network benefits that your particular insurance provides.
It is helpful for you to find out specifics of your mental health coverage with your insurance company by asking the following questions (this information is intended as a guideline and does not guarantee services or insurance benefits):
* Does my policy cover out of network mental health services?
* Do I need pre-authorization in order to make an appointment? If so, how to obtain it?
* What is my deductible for these services?
* Is there a maximum number of visits per year?
* Which services are covered (e.g. couples therapy, group therapy, phone sessions)
